Why is the electromagnetic spectrum is called... electromagnetic?
Because includes all electromagnetic radiation, which is made up of waves that have both electric and magnetic fields. For example: radio waves, broadcast television, infrared, visible light, microwaves, X-rays, and gamma waves, to name a few.
